Hillston Farm is situated halfway between Middelburg and Steynsburg in the Eastern Cape on the R56. It is also ideally situated halfway between Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth and East London as well as halfway between Durban, Cape Town and Johannesburg.

There is an Airstrip at Middelburg.

For guests traveling from Durban to Cape Town or vice versa we would recommend travelling on the R56 via Middelburg as it goes all the way to Pietermaritzburg. This scenic route takes one along the southern part of the Drakensberg, with Xhosa huts along the route. Stunning scenery!
